Meet the Devon Rex
The Devon Rex, "cousin" of the Cornish Rex, shares the same intelligence, inquisitiveness, and extroversion as its "relative." Devons are also playful and affectionate and show resourcefulness in getting their way just as their "cousin" does!
The Devon Rex shows its liking for indoor life by sitting on window sills, chattering at the animals or people outside, or by sitting in front of heat vents. They adore climbing all over their "person." Like puppy dogs, Devons follow their "person" from room to room, and just like puppies, they wag their tails when happy or praised. They "talk" in subdued chirps, chortles, and trills, but their purring can drown out human conversation. They love "people food," such as asparagus, grapes, cantaloupe, and artichokes.
Like the Cornish Rex, when Devons have a specific destination in mind, they go! They do not meander but trot with purpose. Once they arrive, they know what they will do!
As for their Saturday night bath, they give another meaning to "wash and wear"—a quick shampoo, rinse, towel pat, and hang over the shoulder to dry or place in a sunny window.
Come on in and tell us about your Devon Rex!
