Cat Breeds A-B > Burmese

Meet the Burmese

The Burmese has a round, compact body type with a round head. They are a medium-sized cat but are surprisingly heavy for their size. They have often been described as "bricks wrapped in silk."

Playful and intelligent, Burmese enjoy being with people and make an affectionate companion. They are adaptable to both indoor and outdoor life and like play and exercise. Often talkative, as befits their oriental background, they are not loud. Their eyes are green to gold.

These eyes are their most persuasive weapon in an arsenal of endearing traits. These traits mask an awesome power to hypnotize their owners into lifetime love affairs through which they effortlessly rule their families.

Their dense shorthair coat comes in sable, platinum, champagne, and blue. Grooming is a wipedown with a damp cloth and a quick comb through.
