Meet the Balinese
Take one Siamese cat—add one ermine coat. What do you have? An instant Balinese!
You may ask "What's so great about a Balinese?"
If you ask this question of anyone who is owned by one of these fabulous felines, be prepared for a long, glowing monologue that never seems to end! Under that long, silky ermine coat this cat wears so proudly, the Balinese is all Siamese, including the personality. Despite his regal bearing and aristocratic appearance, he is a clown with a heart as big as a circus tent. Although as demonstrative and affectionate as the Siamese, Balinese are less vocal and the voice is softer. Coat length is another difference between the Siamese and the Balinese.
Balinese cats are affectionate and demanding of affection, yet retain the aloofness of their Siamese ancestors. They are also very athletic and enjoy climbing and jumping. They make good parents and are playful with their offspring. They are suited to indoor life but like to be outside.
